I live near Amsterdam NY. I am chronicling some of my experiences with food and restaurants in and around Amsterdam.
I’ve been interested in food and cooking for as long as I can remember. People tell me I should be a chef, in which I have absolutely no interest, although I have worked as a cook which I sometimes enjoy.
I will tell both the good and the bad. I’m hoping that I will get to showcase some hidden gems. You may see me stray from Amsterdam as I travel around the upstate region.
One thing in which I am definitely interested is decent food sources, which are desperately lacking in Amsterdam. It’s nigh impossible to get truly fresh fish, and if you want it whole, forget it.

Lots of great pizza places in Amsterdam. Maybe you could do a review of just pizza?

Thanks for your kind words. I would love to do a series of pizza reviews, but I’m hard pressed to visit enough restaurants just for general reviews! Please tell me what your one or two favorite pizza places are, and why you like them.

Think you have a great site though there are plenty of other places you haven’t mentioned; Fultonville now has CR’s deli, and Fonda has Mike’s, Antonettes cafe, cathy’s cafe, sorrenties pizza. To me the best part f your site is the exsposure you give to us small local places even if it’s not always glowing.
